Meet Your Instructor

Jesse Reine began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey in 2006 in Minneapolis, MN. In 2009 Jesse began to teach classes and fell in love with it. To say he found his passion would be an understatement. He taught full time until 2016 when he and his family moved back to Cumberland to start a new journey. After 2 years of traveling to train on weekends he started the process of opening his own martial arts studio. Origin Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was born on the weekends out of the Cumberland High School wrestling room. After a year there the business had grown enough to move into a new building. Jesse began training and competing more. In 2020 he won the Worlds Masters Championship and soon after earned his black belt. Jesse continues to compete and encourages students to compete when they have the chance. Jesse’s main goal is to strengthen confidence in his students and offer them the best training available. Origin’s goal is to allow students to have every opportunity that a martial arts school in a larger city would provide. Some of the best in the world have come to visit the school and offer seminars at a reasonable price. Come meet Jesse and see the passion he has to offer the community.
